Sun and Moon

Forever you shall be the sun and I shall be the moon,

Singing the same song in different tunes.

You shall shine and and be the bringer of life,

While I’ll reflect you in the darkness of strife.

You shall lead a life front and center for the world to admire,

While I’ll stay back and watch over them as they retire.

You are a constant you never disappear,

While I gradually go away but always reappear.

You shine alone, the only star of the day,

While I stand with the others who come out to play.

You shall have others orbit you from near and far

While I orbit one for I am not the star.

I have my shadow, you have your light

I am only a reminder you will be back after night.
