So with our next topic being ice and snow, I figured it would be nice to share some pictures of my sister’s trip to Greenland. My sister is a college senior and she goes to the University of Albany as a meteorology major. With her major, she gets to experience a lot of field work and last summer spent a week in Greenland studying the environment and the weather. Since I’m not a science major, I love getting to see the types of classes she’s taking and what she gets to learn about. She told me all about Greenland and it seems like a beautiful place, so maybe one day if I get the chance I’ll go there myself. I’ve never been in a place with a lot of ice or snow, so when reading the chapter in our textbook I was wondering what it would be like to be in an entirely snowy landscape and experience that kind of awe and wonder.

I would lOVE to visit Greenland. I have taken honors students to Iceland and that was a phenomenal experience as well. great photos, especially the one with the glacier and the tiny person.
