Space

In the chapter, Macauley discusses many elements of space. There are many similarities and differences between the experiences one gets from earth and space. Space isn’t just a black of nothingness but is filled with multiple starts, plants, meteors, dust, and comets. The leaving of earth helps humans to reflect and understand ourselves and our environment better.

When reading this chapter, I remembered a movie based off of a novel I watched a while ago. The plot had to do with all of the things Macauley has previously mentioned. Although this movie is fiction, I do think it is important for viewers to reflect that we should take care of the earth before we go and explore outer space and the unknowns it brings with it. We can not rely on outer space to be the solution of our carelessness.
